The start at B1–B2. A learning path with 5 modules. You learn the basic words of dentistry, for example position terms and the FDI tooth notation.
You practice the three parts of the FSP: the patient conversation, the documentation and the specialist conversation. In the simulation an AI plays the person. Afterwards you get an assessment.

Facts about the Kenntnisprüfung from official sources.
Written, oral, practical. You take the next part only once you have passed the one before. Several months can pass in between.

It lasts 60 to 90 minutes per person. The exam is in German.

For degrees from non-EU countries the Kenntnisprüfung then becomes the normal route. The check of the documents only happens if you expressly choose it.

I am Gunnar. I am not a dentist – I build software.
Ruth and I met in Peru. She studied dentistry there and worked as a dentist for eight years. Since we have been in Germany together, she has been going the recognition path: language exam, Fachsprachenprüfung, now the Kenntnisprüfung.
When she was studying for the FSP, she found almost nothing she could really use to practice how the exam works. There were mostly scattered documents. So in the evenings I built her a small practice program. She said what was correct in the subject matter. I programmed. That became ZahnPrüf.
She passed the FSP. The KP is still to come. So we are learning right now, just like you. The app keeps growing, and we check every piece of content before it goes into the app.
ZahnPrüf is a companion, not a replacement for a preparation course. It is the tool you use to practice the exam and the questions as often as you want.

The structure and course of the exam exercises follow the Approbationsordnung für Zahnärzte (ZApprO) and the information sheets of the authorities.
Information on law and procedure comes only from laws, from authorities and from professional chambers. Every statement appears in the app with its source and date. We do not use forums or personal accounts for this.
Some questions and assessments are created by an AI directly while you practice. They are marked and can contain mistakes.
